About June
My novel, Jobs for Girls with Artistic Flair, is now available in hardcover and ebook from Pamela Dorman Books/Viking Penguin, and audiobook from Penguin Random House Audio.
My essays, stories, and poetry have appeared (or are forthcoming) in Lit Hub, Writer’s Digest, The North American Review, RHINO, Sojourners, Cream City Review, The Pinch, The Common, Cordella, Big Fiction, The Missouri Review, The Southampton Review, Image Journal, Consequence Magazine, Alocasia, and elsewhere.
I grew up in the Shirley/Mastic/Yaphank area of Long Island and studied at Bennington College in Vermont, where I graduated with my MFA in Writing and Literature in 2012. Alongside writing, I have worked as a full-time activist/organizer; a freelance graphic designer, writer, and editor; and Arts Director at a not-for-profit. I also do public speaking and teaching, write book reviews, and occasionally make a little music.
